Collaborative Community Development Program- CCDP

In Pakistan, there is a big gap amongst the classes. Day by day, the rich are getting richer whereas the poor are getting poorer. This same theme is reflected in our educational surroundings. Thus in order to bridge the gap, to make both societies come closer to one another and understand their view point, Society for Educational Welfare decided to introduce a program named "Collaborative Community Development Program" that will fulfill these requirements. It helps reduce the ever growing tensions amongst the different classes living in our society.

This is an important program of SEW in which we connect with different educational institutes. The students of these schools spent time under social welfare program with our students as allocated to them in them curriculum. It was launched by SEW few years ago. Under this program, we have collaborated with some of the best institutes all over the country like Foundation Public School, City School, Beacon Light Academy and IBA etc. Under this program, the students from these educational institutes work with our students and teach them different skills. The planning of different activities to be conducted is done by SEW management.

Different educational institutes submit their proposals every year. The students of selected school are then given introduction of Baithak Schools and code of conduct of this program is conveyed to them in the opening ceremony. So far, the results have been really encouraging. The students belonging to this upper class, come to realize how blessed they are and at the same time develop feelings of welfare and responsibility towards the betterment of state. On the other hand, the students of our schools also get a chance to mix together with this segment of society and get to understand their feelings. All in this entire program is a win-win situation for both parties.

The duration of the program is eight weeks. Under this program, the students of these schools conduct training sessions with our students every week. At the end they are awarded points based on their efforts and output. The activity ends with a closing ceremony where the students are acknowledged for their efforts. Certificates are handed over to the participants and shields are awarded to the winners.
