Formal Education

Society for Educational Welfare, from its very inception wanted to establish proper school all over the country. The importance of formal education cannot be underestimated. It plays a crucial role in character building of our youth. All necessary facilities should be available to the students, teachers and school staff. Thus giving the students an environment where they can thrive and blossom.

Currently, most of our schools follow the concept of "Formal Education". There we have a school building with all the essential items available.

Informal or Non Formal Education

The concept of "Baithak" portrays a place of sitting. The name was chosen because at SEW, our priority is to educate children and make our future bright in whatever way possible. Thus if at a place, we don't have a proper school building available or don't have sufficient resources, we educate children within the space available. Many of our schools started this way and then very slowly they were transformed to proper schools by the grace of God.

Educating our youth is our mission. For this reason, we introduced this concept of Baithak School. Starting with 57 informal schools, today we have around 134 schools and most of them are formal.

We have also set up informal schools in emergency and disaster struck areas. The examples include camps for flood affected people, camps for internally displaced students and tent schools for students in regions hit by earth quake.
