Health and Hygiene Awareness Program
Education and training is incomplete without the awareness of health and hygiene. Especially in the down trodden areas of Pakistan where the awareness level on this subject is next to nil. Due to this, the ratio of ill and infected people in these areas is much higher than in urban places.
Keeping this situation in mind, SEW has developed a Heath and Hygiene Program; a proactive approach to give knowledge to our students before they become a victim of these contagious diseases. Relevant books on this subject have been included in the curriculum.
As a reactive approach, medical camps are set up in effected places where doctors check the students and school teachers. The camps are set up by different medical institutes operating in Pakistan. The local residents are also encouraged to have a medical check up free of cost.
The students are provided both theoretical and practical guidance regarding different health and hygiene issues. Thus different check lists are designed to monitor the level of hygiene awareness amongst the students.
Society for Educational Welfare has designed a special series of 8 books named as "Health and Hygiene" Series. These books are taught in different classes to our students.
