What is Society for Educational Welfare?
Rendering their dream of a literate Pakistan into reality, a group of passionate women volunteers, took their first step back in 1996. From a single room (called “Baithak”), progressing towards 143 primary schools all over Pakistan. Their hard work and commitment led them towards success while many new hands joined them over the years to strengthen their cause.
How many students does Society for Educational Welfare have produced since its inception?
So far, SEW has enlightened 200,000 children through their primary schools in less privileged areas and is struggling hard to escalate the figures. Currently 18,000 students are enrolled all over Pakistan. We are not only providing Primary Education but also bridging the 5th graders with other secondary schools in the vicinity. Starting in 2019, SEW has started giving secondary education in 5 selected schools as a pilot project to facilitate children till Matric.

What are the eligibility criteria for getting Admission at Baithak School Network (Society for Educational Welfare)?
Any child who is out of school or can’t join because of family financial conditions (irrespective of gender, race, or religion) is eligible for admission at our Schools.

FORMAL & INFORMAL EDUCATION
In our quest to spread literacy far and wide, both structures of education are incorporated. Formal education through our structured age-wise educational setups in the less privileged urban, rural, politically unstable areas and informally in camps and tents for internally displaced persons or earthquake/flood affected areas
ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
Academic excellence is achieved by crafting a unified syllabus for schools all over Pakistan. Each year curriculum is reviewed and planned on basis of extensive research by R&D Department and feedback received from schools
TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING
Regular Training of Trainer workshops are held at SEW head office and efforts are made that they are available for our staff far and wide through the internet. Subject-wise training sessions are held
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Students of class 4 and onwards are encouraged to learn skills offered through our vocational centers; the basic course is “Sewing and stitching”. The courses are also offered to women in the community, which renders them capable of being an earning members of their household and through them, we are able to provide school uniforms to our students

The Terms and Conditions mentioned in the “Prospectus” provided physically at the time of admissions form the essence of the respective obligations (expenses) and parents undertake(s) to abide by the same.
